“Good afternoon, I am the mother of a soldier who has been deployed several times and most recently Latvia for six months. In yesterday’s mail I received the most beautiful and generous gift - a Family Gift Box. What a thoughtful and kind gesture, I am so grateful for this lovely package, the gift cards, and the heartfelt expressions of thanks for the work my son is doing for all of us. Please forward my sincere thank you to all those concerned for the beautiful presentation, to the donors and contributors and all the staff at Together We Stand - what a remarkable gesture. Thank you and a very Happy New Year to you and yours!”
“Dear Together We Stand Foundation, Thank you so much for your Family Gift Box I received… was a well welcomed surprised in the New Year! I was so honoured for receiving such a kind and generous gift for my boyfriend being deployed overseas through Christmas on HMCS Halifax. We had a lot of fun putting stickers on the map that came with the kit of his previous sails and his newly finished deployment. It’s a great way to keep track of where he has been. My boyfriend the military member wears his TWS bracelet every day since I received it. The gift cards were so thoughtful and I am very excited to use them. Thank you so much again! I am so blown away by how much support I have received from TWS while he was away. I feel very honoured and thankful for all the work you all do. I am very proud to support my military members and thank you for supporting us who stand behind the uniform so they can do their duties everyday 24/7.”
“I can’t thank you enough for the surprise family gift box I received in the mail. My husband is currently deployed to Latvia. This is our fifth deployment but our family’s first deployment over the holiday season and it has been more difficult then expected. After a particularly difficult day, it was a great surprise to open the family gift box with all the gifts and beautiful messages from people around our great country, thanking us! I never look for thanks as a military spouse, you just do what you have to do. But sometimes, I think people forget just how difficult the Military life can be for a family, let alone a deployment. I feel they think we may be used to it and will do just fine. But in reality, most days, we’re just trying to put one foot in front of the other while missing our loved one deeply. Thank you for acknowledging the difficulties we face and showing your support. Your kindness brought me to tears. Keep up the great work.”
“To whom it may concern, I am a military mom! I came home tonight with a package from your foundation and as I opened it, I was surprised and appreciative - I really no words can describe my gratitude for this gift! It warmed my heart! This is our first year without my son for Christmas as he is deployed! Knowing there are people in our beautiful country thinking and donating to the military community is so heartfelt by my family, I cannot begin to express our gratitude!”
“Hello I just received my Family Gift Box in the mail. I wanted to send my deepest thank you for everything included in the box. My husband is currently deployed overseas and receiving the box definitely put a smile on our face. I am so thankful for a foundation like this and so grateful for what you do. Thank you and Happy Holidays!”
"I have been serving for over 32 yrs and several deployments and this was the best package I had ever seen."
“We were particularly touched by the Christmas card we received with your generous donation. That was a terrific reminder that others are thinking about the families of those on deployment. We have not seen our son in over five months.”
"This is the first time we have seen such an outpouring of well wishes. It has touched my wife deeply and she truly appreciated it. Again, thank you!!”
“You do not know me but I would like to thank you and your wife for the touching gift and gesture.”
“Dear Together We Stand Foundation, I would like to thank you for sending us the Family Gift Box. It is sometimes difficult for military families to be apart, especially during the holidays, and it's an honour to receive this recognition.”
Thank you for sending us a family gift box! It was a thoughtful assortment of gift cards to receive after my husband left for his deployment, which will include our son's first Christmas and birthday. The kind words of appreciation for families and "where's my soldier?" map truly make the gift box special. I was very impressed with the map/calendar - its so unique and appropriate for us! It is also such a delight to get a package in the mail. Thanks again for recognizing those of us who are at home missing our loved ones.”
“Thank you!!!! We received a family box from you as my husband was deployed on HMCS Ottawa. We have thoroughly enjoyed this evening, going through your very generous gift together, planning family events and experiences. No one asked you to help deployed families, but you did. I read the writings inside the box while my husband was deployed. The gratitude to deployed families was truly heartwarming. The folks that wrote the notes genuinely know life during a deployment. As I said to my husband, I didn’t need any other gifts after I read the notes to the deployed families. Thank you. You made a difficult time a little easier.”
“It's so nice to know that there are people out there who care about all the families of military members and I really appreciate receiving such a generous gift. Thank you”
“That you felt so much in your heart to do this act of kindness, speaks so much about your souls. I can’t thank you enough and it will be well used over the holidays. Your name will be mentioned in our prayers.”
"I wanted to thank you for creating such a package as it was of great use while I was away.”
“Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for the gift box. My spouse is currently deployed in Kuwait, this was his first long term deployment and it has been very tough, even tougher for having him gone over Christmas.”
